Sweden Trip ~ Kiruna!!

Just got off the plane in Kiruna!

have to walk from plane to airport..

Candle-Light Dinner leh... so romantic...

The snow in Kiruna glitters...
where the sun shines, u can see tiny sparkles in the air...
took us a while to realise it was actually snowing..
and the snow that falls are snowflakes...
and its true... no 2 snowflakes are the same..
(at least as far i can tell la...)

KIRUNA DAY 2 ~ A DAY OF ADVENTURES!!!

super hard to get into those suits manz...
wore 3 layers of gloves!

SNOWMOBILES!
for the motor-siao... its 350 cc..
max legal speed 70km/hr
max possible speed 100km/hr
costs ard S$4000

only 1 word... "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah...."

We rode the snowmobiles to the top of this small hill..
(of cos with a few 'minor' accidents)
the scenery was again breath-taking...

DOG SLEDS!!!
for the animal siao...
the dogs got both male n female,
youngest 2yrs old, oldest 9 yrs old
can travel up to 60km a day.
Max speed ~ 30km/hr
steer/control using swedish voice commands
need to shit n pee along the way..
oh and they r super cute!

Next up... Lunch!

We had REINDEER MEAT! YUM YUM!
It tastes like beef and mutton mixed together...
wa damn shiok sia... one-of-a-kind experience...
seat by the fire on logs covered with reindeer fur and
having lunch while admiring beautiful snow scenery and
playing with snow huskies...

Next stop... ICE HOTEL!

and yup tts abt it for ICE-hotel... everything is ya.. ice...
bought a S$25 tix to get in... BUT there was no booth to check our tix or anything..
could hv gotten in for FREE!!!! >_<
mmm mmm... delicious... *wipe saliva*

we had to wade thru waist-level thick snow to get to the fence!

Next... Kiruna City Centre...
had a couple of hours to spare b4 our train ride back to Stockholm..

Kiruna Church.. voted most beautiful church in sweden 2005!

IN THE TRAIN back to Stockholm...
17 HRS RIDE! sit until backside pain...

but sleep was ok la.. i think i look quite comfy..

Back to Stockholm...
went to the City Hall, its where the NOBEL PRIZE AWARDS are held...
