UK Trip -- London, 13th & 14th March

this will be another long long post with lotsa pics... blogging is siong.. esp when u hv to sieve thru 1900++ (1.92 GB) worth of photos and choose the top 5% to upload..

so lets begin..

this is the start of our week long trip in UK.. we started off in London, den when on to Edinburgh, down to Bath (not == shower, but a town ah..) and finally end in London where we took our flight back to Copenhagen...

its tough to cover so many places and do so many things in just 1 week, but we managed, albeit some really tough bus rides and long walks (and the occasional sulk.. of cos..)

naturally, as a soccer fan... the only logical thing to do after u touch down in London is to visit your team's home ground... Stamford Bridge!

wanted to go in one... but can only do so thru stadium tours
which did not fit into our timetable... sianzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.. -_-"

Next, we went to this big Hamley's toy store with big toys..

tried to go Hogwarts... but kena stuck at the train station.. =P

Met up with Yifeng for dinner and spent the night at his place!

we tried the 2006 Riesling by Loosen Brothers..
not bad at all =)

This ride costs 14.50 pounds... it lasts ard 15 mins..
thats S$3 per min.. *ouch*


After spending a fortune on a die-die-oso-must-sit-tourist-trap,
we walked along the River Thames to reach the St Paul's Cathedral...

too bad certain parts were under construction..
it was really a beautiful cathedral..

well... i must say the BEST picture of London Bridge i took is this..
cos the bloody bridge is damn bloody plain and ordinary..


From London Bridge, we walked along to the Tower Bridge and
the Tower of London..

order from 5-6pm and get ur mussels at the cost of the time..
ordered at 5:15pm => mussels cost 5.15 pounds.. shiok right?

Watching a musical in London...

checking out ticket prices in Piccadilly Circus

buy ur tickets 1hr before the show and get the best seats at a flat fee olf 20 pounds! (original price is 50 pounds!) so we got the tickets for the widely recommended Les Miserables!

the thing was tt we had to catch the 11pm overnight bus to Edinburgh right after the show... so there was much deliberation on whether to watch the show anot.. we decided to watch the musical and miss the last 30 mins to catch the bus.. (u hv to be a f***ing bastard and leave midway thru the performance) so in the end Yip and Cheewei din wanna watch cos of tt.. left the 4 of us in the pic.. but in the end really no regrets.. the singers damn power & the songs are v nice.. and we took the side seats so we could leave w/o creating alot of disturbance..

If go London.. watch Les Miserables.. its really good.. or try Avenue Q.. if u wan something light-hearted.. =)
